Jack was born in 1978. At the age of six he gets someone to buy him his first record: the 7" of Queen's "Radio Gaga". At 8, he falls in love with two girls: Sabrina Salerno (Boys) and Samantha Fox (Touch me).
Until his teens, pop music is his only passion: songs by Depeche Mode, Madonna, New Order, Michael Jackson, Pet Shop Boys and Technotronic are his daily soundtrack.
He lives the grunge era intensely, eats up "Loser"-time Beck, and already gets struck by early "Creep"-time Radiohead (a band who will stay among his favorites).

Fino alla fine dell'adolescenza, la sua unica passione è la pop music: canzoni dei Depeche Mode, Madonna, New Order, Michael Jackson, Pet Shop Boys, Technotronic, sono la sua colonna sonora quotidiana.
Vive intensamente l'era grunge, divora Back ai tempi di "Loser",ed è già colpito dai Radiohead del primo periodo("Creep"),band che rimarrà tra le sue preferite.

Still in his teens, he discovers mainstream electronic music, for example Bjork, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Orbital and Lamb, and becomes a regular at various techno-house clubs.
At 19, after graduation, he goes to London for four months. There, he regularly dances to the sound of big beat and jungle. London also exposes him to the rave party scene.
Back in Italy, tired of the club culture scene (especially the local one), by now without spurs and innovation, he gets into the world of more experimental electronica, like Mouse on Mars and more minimal, like the artists on labels like Mille Plateaux.

Ancora teeneger, scopre la musica elettronica, ad esempio Bijork, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Orbital e Lamb, e diventa un regolare frequentatore di vari clubs techno-house.
A 19 anni,dopo la scuola superiore, va a Londra per quattro mesi. Lì balla abitualmente al suono di big beat e jungle, e Londra lo espone anche alla scena dei rave-party.
Tornato in Italia, stanco della club culture (in particolar modo di quella locale) ormai priva di stimoli ed innovazione, Jack entra nel mondo dell'elettronica più sperimentale, come i Mouse On Mars, ed in quello dell'elettronica minimale, privilegiando artisti di etichette quali Mille Plateaux.

At 22 he meets Joe, and soon give birth to the glitch-rock project Mammoths'Dreams. A year into its existence, the third member Giulia joins the band.
In the meanwhile, Jack has fun listening to the new electronic/ 80's neo-pop productions that opposed the minimal/ conceptual scene ruling in the mid 90's.
Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Fischerspooner, Felix da Housecat, Chicks on Speed and many others where the artists he listened to during that time, artists who will then influence The Magicake's sound.

A 22 anni conosce Joe, ed insieme danno vita ad un progetto glitch-rock, " Mammoths'Dreams". Un anno dopo si aggiunge il terzo componente, Giulia.
Nel frattempo Jack si diverte ad ascoltare le nuove produzioni di elettronica pop ispirata agli anni'80 che si oppongono alla scena minimal e concettuale presente a metà anni'90.
Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Fischerspooner, Felix da Housecat, Chicks on Speed e molti altri artisti che influenzeranno successivamente il sound dei The Magicake.

In the same time, Joe and him learn the art of DJing and start to play in various clubs, offering a mix of minimal electronica, electro and 80's vintage 7"'s. In Padova, in the winter of 2002/ 2003, the two organize the week club night TRASH!, where they DJ and where they put up live shows of some of the most interesting Italian underground electronic artists (Retina.it, Wang Inc., Slow Motion and Atzmo). Jack has various passions besides music: he loves contemporary art; he is into photography since the age of 18 (with two personal exhibitions in 2002 and 2003); he loves cinema and especially directors like Won Kar Wai, Cronenberg and Wenders; in 2004 he enters the world of video-art offering the video "Voglio essere trasparente" (I want to be transparent) at the collective exhibition "Disturb-arti", in Abano Terme (PD).

Nello stesso tempo,insieme a Joe, impara l'arte del djing, ed inizia a suonare in diversi clubs, proponendo un mix di elettronica minimal e 7" originali degli anni '80.
A Padova, nell'inverno 2002/2003, Jack e Joe organizzano una club-night settimanale,"Trash!" , dove suonano come djs e dove invitano alcuni dei più interessanti artisti electro della scena underground italiana ad esporre i propri live-shows (Retina.it, Wang Inc., Slow Motion and Atzmo).
Jack ha diverse passioni oltre alla musica: ama l'arte contemporanea; è nella fotografia dall'età di 18 anni (con due personali esposizioni nel 2002 e nel 2003); ama il cinema, specialmente registi come Won Kar Wai, Cronenberg e Wanders; nel 2004 entra nel mondo della video-arte esponendo il video "Voglio essere trasparente" all'esibizione collettiva "Disturb-arti" ad Abano Terme (PD).

With Joe and the VJs BNTMRC77 & DEE-YEVOTVHKA, he did shows in various art happenings and openings of exhibitions in galleries with audio/video performances under the name "REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURY".
